All I ever really needed to know...

I learned in Kindergarten

of course there were a few other things too....but monkey bars and shoe tying were two big milestones. We are still working (sigh) on the two wheeled bike.

Rootbeer Social

Mrs. Smith threw a root beer social on the last day of kindergarten....which by the way, came way too fast for Emery's Mom :-)

This was a fun group! I got to know these munchkins pretty well over the year.

Mmmmm, good.

little sisters got to come too!

Emery's card was really sweet

it's true....we will miss our Mrs. Smith!!

Hands Across the Border

This was Emery's first year participating in Hands Across the Border. Half of our troop was able to attend. We absolutely LOVE the location.....right in our backyard..so it's really easy to get a good parking spot!!

Emery, Alice, Addie, and Avery

Jason let us borrow a tent from the park and we pitched it in a prime spot..right by the Peace Arch

siblings could come too...yeah

The girls headed out with their "swaps"

They even let little sisters swap...it was pretty fun. There were some pretty neat swaps and then there were some swaps that..well.....we re-swapped :-)

Some troops were REALLY into the swapping!!

Then it was time for the ceremony

We got these super cool little fold up chairs for FREE

The bagpipes were super cool!
Overall, a great first experience for the Girlie Scouts and next year we will even be better prepared.

T-Ball

Emery turned out for Spring T-ball. It was all Blaine kids, co-ed, 5 & 6 year olds.

Her team was Justesen Industries

Coach Paul turned out to be the nicest, most patient coach Ever!!

and Emery turned out to be quite a little slugger..."Go #6"

At the end of the season there was a BBQ for all the teams

"My very first Trophy"

Frequent Visitor

The Tooth Fairy has been visiting our house a lot lately!!

Avery is just sure that she has a loose tooth (NOT).

Another one bites the dust.............

While flossing Emery's teeth a couple weeks ago......

The floss sort of got caught underneath a loose, but not super loose tooth

Out popped the tooth...Emery was at first mad, then quickly remembered the tooth fairy would come that night...so off she went for her tooth bag to put it under her pillow. Now she reminds me each night to be Really Careful Mom!!

The face painting was compliments of "game night" at the primary school.
Love her new smile!

Spring Soccer

Emery's second season of U6 Soccer

It is SO fun to watch...I hope she continues playing. This started to "click" this season.

Would you like to buy................

some Girl Scout cookies????

Our site sales at Haggen were overall pretty slow, but the girls did a great job and still ended up selling some cookies. After all, Daisy Scouts are awfully hard to resist!!

When all said and done....the girls raised nearly $700 for our troop

Guest speaker Officer Simon taught the girls about being courageous

Perfectly Square

We finally had Emery's 6 year well check...now that she's almost 6 and a half..
It's just the way they schedule at the pediatrician's office.

good news...she is completely healthy.....and

we found out she is "perfectly squared." 44 inches tall by 44 lbs

The Dr. also predicted her final height to be approximately 5'4", so we'll see
how close she was in a few more years.

Will you be my Valentine??

Emery's Valentine party was so much fun.
The kindergarteners really know how to have a good time.

different stations were set up w/various games and activities

The cookie decorating station was a big hit !

Little Sisters could come too...making it especially fun!

All I want for Christmas...........

Is my one front tooth

It was a Sunday afternoon, December 20th, and Emery's tooth had been loose for awhile, but we weren't expecting it to fall out so easily..the first two teeth needed a little help. She was eating a Pringle..and poof..there it was in her mouth.

We have sure been enjoying her new smile...it changed her whole look.
The other upper front tooth is now loose.
