Would you like to buy................

some Girl Scout cookies????

Our site sales at Haggen were overall pretty slow, but the girls did a great job and still ended up selling some cookies. After all, Daisy Scouts are awfully hard to resist!!

When all said and done....the girls raised nearly $700 for our troop

Guest speaker Officer Simon taught the girls about being courageous

Bowling Birthday Party

Tyler had his 7th birthday party at Park Bowl

Avery actually loves to bowl, it was her 2nd time

T-Man's got the form!

Avery and Maddie were having fun on the lane next door

Even w/all Tyler's buddies there...the bond between him and Emery
has continued all these years. It is very cool. Mary and I
joke about them getting married someday.....hmmmm
you never know...

Drivers Ed

A Girl Scout cookie delivery @ Nan and Pop's
turned into Emery's first driving lesson.

One fun day

We packed a lot of fun into our day

Children's Museum w/ Auntie Diane

Cotton Candy machine @ the mall..quite good and the girls
love to watch it be made right in front of their eyes

Perfectly Square

We finally had Emery's 6 year well check...now that she's almost 6 and a half..
It's just the way they schedule at the pediatrician's office.

good news...she is completely healthy.....and

we found out she is "perfectly squared." 44 inches tall by 44 lbs

The Dr. also predicted her final height to be approximately 5'4", so we'll see
how close she was in a few more years.

Quest for the nest

On our last trip up to Camas aka The Camano House...
we ventured out on the property to try and find the eagle nest

It was Lilli's 7th birthday gathering

Hollie, our fearless leader, took us through the brush and down a ravine

There it is!!!

Lilli and Emery look happy here....but both girls, especially Lilli,
got tangled up w/some stinging nettles.....youch

We found the gnome on our trek back, who often changes
positions around the property

Got cookies?

The girls are becoming quite good at decorating cookies

Avery especially likes the eating them part!

Will you be my Valentine??

Emery's Valentine party was so much fun.
The kindergarteners really know how to have a good time.

different stations were set up w/various games and activities

The cookie decorating station was a big hit !

Little Sisters could come too...making it especially fun!

Happy Heart Day

Avery's first Valentine Party....she was pretty excited

a whole bunch of Valentines...just for me ??

Thanks Kellan!

Mmmmm...candy, my favorite

Thanks Jason!!

Will you be my Valentine Avery??

Beauty Parlor

2 girls + 1 comb + 1 brush + 50 clips and 1 Mom = beauty shop and lots of giggling

Olympic Torch

Probably a once in a lifetime opportunity......we got the opportunity to witness the Olympic torch relay in it's only U.S. stop at the Peace Arch on it's way to Vancouver, B.C., home of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. It was a cold...cold morning, the first time it had frozen in over a month. The girls weren't quite sure about getting up and out of the house at 7am to watch someone carrying 'fire.'

There were gobs of people...Canadians, Americans, and our good friends, the McAllisters came out too..and poor Megan didn't even wear socks! The stage was super crowded so we opted for the human tunnel, hoping to get a close up view of the torch as it came through.

Minutes before the torch was coming..the Canadian Hockey team came out of nowhere and stood right in front of us! Hmmmph...it really blocked our view..but eventually they spread out a little bit

By some strange stroke of luck....the torch was stopped for a photo op right, make that RIGHT in front of us!! We could practically feel the warmth from the flame. It was the perfect spot.

I wish I could of gotten a photo of Ranger Snow, decked out in WA State Parks finest uniform...but he was insanely busy, but darn handsome.

World's Shortest Playdate

We had high hopes for a great sunny February day, so we headed to our favorite Lynden park.

The first few minutes were all smiles.......then this.............................

turned into this

In about 2 minutes Avery took a pretty good fall on the way up to the slide

It's a good thing the ice cream at Edaleen's helps heal
scraped chins!
